To win the enemy, it is necessary to know its weapon and whom it is actually. The idea to write this article has occurred to me, when I began operation from other article. It was: « the Problem of violence and progress of mankind, information wars of 21 centuries ». I repent, I so yet have not written it. But probably I shall write hereafter. The theme is interesting for me. To tell to people which have no the slightest representation, that such an intelligence system, about information wars is silly. It also is silly as to tell to the cannibal of any wild tribe about the modern automobile. From what and as the automobile is arranged, all of us have even approximate representation. And the most important we know assignment of nodes and aggregates of the automobile and as all this turns. This article I have decided to correct a blank in knowledge of the inhabitant of information technologies. I shall not describe the system of a computer, I shall not write about programming languages, about an object paradigm and model DCOM. The question will be only how the generalized intelligence system is conceptually arranged, and what main function blocks enter into it. My reasonings will not be mentioned only by discussion of the elementary programs. It is necessary to give will of the imagination. It seems to me, that will be interesting as the description of a modular construction of an intelligence system (including the Internet systems), and their interactions among themselves. So, my educational program. I shall not describe too in details each functional unit. If it is interesting to you, in the Internet there is a lot of information on each of the blocks listed by me. As always beautiful and, at first sight, the difficult diagram. But anything difficult in it is not present, believe me.
I have tried to represent main functional components of any intelligence system and their interaction (contacts) among themselves. Whether it was received it for me whether or not - judge. We shall start, perhaps, from that fact, that the information somewhere and in something should be saved. The storage of the information is in any program. On my diagram it is named Data Storehouse. I did not use the term - database (Database) for the reason, that the storage of the information not always is the database. It can be, for example, a simple text file. Natural deckhouse above repository is the program which allows to control these data - to add, delete, edit, view. It is named on my diagram Data Management. Association Data Storehouse and Data Management systems represents, as a rule, the relational database (for those who knows, that this such). In case of file databases, Data management it is built usually - in the software for the end user (Data operator) and it is its important constituent. The following level, on idea, should be Business Server. This software allows to program an intermediate layer business logic. For experts such solution is named as the technology of the thin client. This software is intended for data manipulation in frameworks business logic of natural processes (instead of under the rules defined only for data manipulation in limits of the relational theory). It is natural, that similar program solutions is deckhouses above Data Storehouse and Data Management. However not always business server use Data Management, but necessarily use Data Storehouse. Nobody prohibits to the software developer to use the relational database only as repository. Now in our scheme it is time to add "end user" (end user), its software is more exact. It is named on my diagram as Data operator. Its assignment and so it is understandable. It is the interface for operation of users with the system. I repent, I have a little hurried with Business server and Data management. As the interface is necessary for operation of the end user in anyone on complexity system. I mean this block only functionality for manipulation with the data (input, editing, search, filtering, etc.). And I have born the system of creation of reports all the same in the separate block. Which I have named Report Builder. I have made it meaningly. As not always the system of creation reports is included directly into the client software, and can represent the independent unit. It can be a deckhouse above the relational database. In this case it is possible to consider as business server. It can be functional part of Business Server or as the client software. The following logical step in development of intelligence systems became an analytical deckhouse as the independent tool. Certainly, it is OLAP systems (On-line Analytic Processing). By and large is a system of creation multivariate (in sense of the data) reportings. I have born it in the separate block not simply so. That is why, that the given unit is the complex software which can use own (multivariate) databases. That we could make solution on our data, multivariate analysts to us can appear insufficiently. The following block is a system on extract of legitimacies or Data Mining (which can have the own database as statistical verification of the extracted legitimacies is required). And, at last, the last block are systems of decision making. Are decision support systems - Decision making more precisely. Actually, the system of decision making, should answer to us a simple question - what to make, and that will take place in case of execution of multiple solutions. It will allow to select optimal solution on any problem. Progress of information technologies goes on the basis of a principle « from simple to complex ». It can be expressed in the following scheme « Data Storehouse -> Data Management -> Report Builder -> Business server -> OLAP -> Data Mining -> Decision making ». In my last logic circuit of development of information technologies there is no block under name Data operator. This functionality is present at any system, differently the program simply is not meaningful (there should be an interaction with the end user). Accordingly, the front end of interaction with the user can be has not hardly varied, but has internal undergone serious changes. It is necessary to mean, that indicated by me progress of information technologies includes at each stage modification of all previous items according to innovations. The blocks described by me in this or that sort can be found in any software, starting from games and ending supercomplex systems even if they obviously are not expressed. Last modified: 30.03.2006 |
